The Musée Archéologique preserves evidence of human presence in Burgundy from prehistoric times to the Middle Ages, within the heart of the stunning architecture of the former Benedictine abbey of Saint-Bénigne. Once the biggest monastery in France, it houses one of the best examples of pre-romanesque architecture in the c.1000 Scriptorium and 13th century monks dormitory.
